Low GI Carrot Cake breakfast Bar


Dry Ingredients

  • 1 scoop Flavor and Fettle Vanilla Protein Powder (whey or plant based)
  • 1 ½ cups almond or coconut flour
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp sea salt


Wet Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp melted coconut oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups grated carrot
  • ½ cup walnuts
  • ¼ zested orange



  • Preheat oven to 350 Fahrenheit
  • Add dry ingredients into a large bowl and whisk to combine
  • In a separate bowl add wet ingredients
  • Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir to combine
  • Pour onto lined baking pan and bake for 25-27 minutes
  • 8x8 pan yields 10 bars
